Applications for the 2023 Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair, slated for July 27-29, 2023 are now available for all Artisan and Fine Crafters.

Artisans and crafters have until March 27 to complete and submit an application for the 2023 Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair, held at the Richard J. Notte Sterling Heights City Center.  Festival rules, fees, and other guidelines are included in the application document.

The “Sterlingfest Kids Art!” Program will return for the sixth year, and is for children and teens ages 2 to 18 years old. Young artists will be able to exhibit their original, handcrafted artwork.  No buy-sell artwork is permitted; the Kids Art application deadline is May 31.

Renowned as one of Michigan’s best-run and best-attended festivals, (including earning the Detroit News’ “Michigan’s BEST Summer Festival” title), Sterlingfest’s combination of arts & crafts, music and food means three days of sun-drenched, summertime fun every year.  Now in its 41st year, Sterlingfest mixes the tradition of an arts & crafts fair with a jazz and blues stage, a Suds’n’Sounds stage, Kidzfest children’s activities and entertainment stage, a family midway, local restaurateurs, fireworks and a main concert stage.

Visitors to the arts & crafts show browse and purchase exquisite sculptures, watercolor paintings, photographs, pottery and many other unique hand-crafted items offered by juried exhibitors. The Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair is set in a street fair-like setting at the heart of Sterling Heights, Michigan – the picturesque Richard J. Notte Sterling Heights City Center campus. Artists show and sell their work with a backdrop of lively music from the jazz and blues stage. Visitors to the arts & crafts fair stroll past the City’s historic Upton House Museum and along the Sterling Heights sculpture walk, featuring the City’s public art along with a “SterlingScapes” exhibit of large-scale outdoor sculptures from cutting-edge Michigan artists.

The 2023 Sterlingfest schedule of events features a variety of great music to keep visitors entertained, including jazz, blues, folk and Top 40 entertainment.  Plus, free fun activities for the kids allow mom and dad to take their time in the arts & crafts fair.  Attractions, such as evening concerts and Thursday night fireworks, promise to draw upwards of 150,000 people from throughout metropolitan Detroit to the Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair.

Applications for the 2023 Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair are available for download at the fair’s official website: sterlingfest.info. Artists and crafters can also request that a copy be mailed or e-mailed by calling the Sterling Heights Community Relations Department at (586) 446-2470.
